This recipe shows you how to maximise the healing benefits of turmeric by adding it to smoothies.

I combined banana, lemon and Clementine with turmeric paste. A tasty, energising and fresh combination with anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits. If you are aware of colour therapy then these fruits are orange and yellow and will be a similar frequency band to the yellow turmeric.  This combination benefits the solar plexus chakar (yellow) and the sacral chakra (orange).


1 banana
1 clementine
Fresh lemon to taste
1/4 tsp turmeric paste
1/4 tsp clarified butter (ghee)


  1. Place banana and Clementine in a blender and blend until smooth
  2. Mix 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric paste with some hot water.
  3. Stir in 1/4 teaspoon of clarified butter into the warm turmeric water.
  4. Add the turmeric water to the blended banana/Clementine.

Squeeze in some fresh lemon and blend. Use this method to incorporate turmeric into your favourite smoothie recipes.
