I believe that the journey to holistically address health begins by becoming aware of how the current state of health has built up over time and not just suddenly appeared!

I have developed a process to unravel your unique health story, which begins by first considering both ancestral and parental health heritage. After all the building blocks of your body have been influenced by their state of health!

The next step of this process involves looking at your health from birth leading all the way to the present including any factors which have influenced wellbeing. These factors could include past illnesses/injuries, significant life events, periods of stress or even moving geographically from one part of the world to another!

Only then can the connections be made to the present situation with the understanding that health issues don't just randomly appear!

The Importance of Diet and Nutrition

Diet in my opinion, is one of the significant factors affecting health which is often overlooked. An incorrect diet can quickly lead to problems with digestion and elimination which is usually the first point of imbalance in the body to consider.

My aim is to support health and wellbeing by taking your unique health story into consideration. My extensive experience in Nutritional Medicine involves using natural whole foods therapeutically and holistically which includes the traditional healing techniques and recipes from my Indian/Pakistani ancestral heritage. I am truly grateful for this gift which made me aware from an early age about the benefits of natural whole foods.

Can Natural Nutrition Help?

There are many health issues connected to imbalanced nutrition:

Natural Nutrition uses whole foods which support digestion and elimination. The digestive system and channels of elimination are usually the first major point of imbalance within the body. Food is used therapeutically to promote the body's innate ability to self-regulate, rebalance and move towards an improved level of functioning.

Understanding Your Current State of Health

In order to gain an understanding of how your body has arrived at its current state of health, I take a detailed case history which helps to  build a holistic health picture of you. I analyse this information highlighting how current health issues have arisen and what changes may be made to improve health.  

Dietary Recommendations

Foods and drinks which are contributing towards imbalanced health are identified. It is important to understand that these foods and drinks challenge your body whenever they are consumed.

Dietary recommendations to either reduce or eliminate challenging foods and drinks for a suggested length of time are made. At the same time foods and drinks which nutritionally support your body will be suggested.

Supplementary Recommendations

Before any supplementation is introduced I always assess whether the body is able to absorb and utilise them, otherwise the supplement may become an additional dietary stress.

Supporting Detoxification and Elimination

In naturopathy there is the belief that when the conditions for health are provided, the body naturally starts to rebalance functioning and offloads internalised toxicity. The extra processing of toxicity results in an increased level of elimination from the body.

If the body is unable to cope with the extra levels of elimination then symptoms such as headaches, feeling tired etc are typically experienced. With this in mind, I may suggest certain naturopathic cleansing techniques alongside dietary recommendations, which support elimination and detoxification.

Other holistic techniques like reflexology, aromatherapy, reiki and Indian head massage may also be included to support this process. 

A combined nutritional and naturopathic approach is a powerful yet natural way to assist the body with detoxification, improving elimination and rebalancing. Overall stress and tension within the body is lowered which in turn helps the individual towards move towards a more balanced state of health.
